AT A GLANCE
Turn off auto attack with F before dodging Whitefang Sabertooth's red attack zones. When Apex Roar creates green circles, enter one and stay inside until the surrounding attack finishes, then approach the boss and resume attacking. Automatic pursuit can pull you out of safety. The boss-room sign recommends Lv.50+, and about 200–300 small red potions is a suggested supply for an attempt.

Reach Dry Forest and Prepare Supplies
Head to Dry Forest, where Whitefang Sabertooth's boss-room sign recommends Lv.50+. Look for the boss-room sign near the glowing Pillar. The Warp route into the battle area costs 2,000 Gold; budget for that trip separately from your potions. For destination menus and unlock requirements, use the Warp Pillar guide.
Prepare these supplies before entering:
- About 200–300 Red Potions (S): a suggested stock for a boss attempt, especially when going solo—not a minimum requirement or a prediction of how many you will consume. Each bottle costs 20 Gold, so that stock costs 4,000–6,000 Gold. Each use restores 10% of maximum HP, with a 1-second cooldown, and has no level restriction.
- Blue Potions for Mage or Cleric: bring SP recovery to support repeated spell use. Knife or bow attackers can prioritize their healing supply.
Buy supplies from Barnaby before traveling. See the potion prices and effects if you want to compare recovery options or add a combat buff.
Attack Safely Between Red Warnings
Use F to turn on auto attack when you have a safe position and an opening to deal damage. Watch the ground as you fight: a long red strip in front of the boss and wider red areas signal places to leave.
- When a red warning appears beneath you or across your escape route, press F to stop auto attack.
- Move clear of the marked attack area.
- Wait for the attack to finish before approaching again.
- Resume auto attack once your position is safe.
Turning off auto attack matters because automatic pursuit can move you back toward Whitefang while you are trying to dodge. Give up a few attacks to keep control of your position. Its attacks include Savage Rush, Sonic Roar, and Apex Roar; follow the ground markers, with the green-circle response below for Apex Roar.
For targeting, movement, skill order, and automatic recovery options, see the Auto Battle settings guide.
Apex Roar: Enter the Green Circle
The green circle is your safe position during Apex Roar. When much of the arena turns red, move into green rather than simply running farther from the boss.
- Press F to turn off auto attack if it is active.
- Move inside a green circle. Keep automatic pursuit off so it cannot pull you back toward Whitefang.
- Stay inside while the surrounding red area erupts. Reaching the circle is only the first part of the dodge; wait there until the area attack finishes.
- Leave the circle after the attack ends, approach the boss again, and press F to resume attacking when safe.
Prioritize reaching and holding the safe zone over continuing damage during this phase.
Collect Drops and Prepare the Next Attempt
Whitefang Sabertooth can reward equipment and stones. One victory yielded 1 Protection Stone, a Tier IV ring, and 1 orange stone; treat that as a possible haul, not a guaranteed reward bundle. See the materials and stones guide for material acquisition and uses.
Compare new equipment's attributes with your current gear before equipping it. If a Mask IV shortcut card appears on the right, click its green equip button to wear it without opening your backpack. Choose upgrades for the stats your class needs; the equipment guide covers comparisons and equipment slots.
Before another attempt, check your remaining healing and SP supplies and replace what you used. If a respawn countdown is visible, read it as the remaining wait, not the boss's full respawn interval. For other encounters and their locations, visit the boss guide.
