AT A GLANCE
Volcano Turtle King can be beaten solo. Leave the red areas for Magma Bite, Flame Breath, and Lava Rain. For Earthquake Stomp, leave the initial red warning area, then enter the green circle when the prompt changes. Fighting near the belly can help with some attacks, but that position is not safe throughout the fight.

Reach the Volcano Entrance Bridge
- Defeat Storm Dragon King in Snow to open the route to Volcano.
- Follow the route to the Volcano boss entrance, then cross the short, lamp-lined bridge into the circular arena.
- Bring healing supplies before starting a close-range attempt. Use the potion guide to choose and buy your recovery items.
The boss room recommends Lv.99. Volcano Turtle King is a Lv.99 Fire boss with a listed weakness to Water; its maximum HP is 1,000,000 in the Lv.99 encounters. The room's level recommendation is a preparation guideline, not a guarantee that you can withstand its attacks.
Position Around the Turtle and Avoid Fire Warnings
For melee attacks, position near the circular ground marker beneath the turtle's belly when the ground is safe. This can help you avoid some attacks while staying close enough to deal damage. Adjust as the boss turns: the belly is an attack position, not a permanent safe zone.
When Magma Bite, Flame Breath, or Lava Rain marks the ground red, stop attacking and move completely outside the marked area. Moving sideways is useful only if it actually takes you beyond the warning's boundary. Resume damage from a safe position and recover HP as needed.
A solo melee victory is possible, but staying underneath the turtle and trading hits throughout the fight is a poor approach. Keep your attention on the warnings rather than committing to another attack as danger appears.
Earthquake Stomp: Leave Red, Then Enter Green
Earthquake Stomp requires two different movements during the same attack:
- Leave the initial red area. Move off the marked danger ground when the red warning appears.
- Watch for the green-circle prompt. Keep watching the ground and the attack message as the warning changes.
- Enter the green circle. Change direction toward it instead of continuing toward the arena's edge. The surrounding red ground remains dangerous.
- Return to attacking when the warnings leave a safe opening. Prioritize reaching the indicated safe area over finishing a skill.
Continuing to run outward after the green circle appears can leave you in the damaging area. Distance from the turtle alone does not determine safety during this phase.
Aim Dash (Q) and movement attacks toward safe ground. Check where a skill will leave you before using it; a poorly timed movement attack can carry you into the boss's damage area.
